Avocado oil’s secret ingredient is sterolin, a natural steroid that triggers the production of collagen, which is essential in targeting wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots. One of the most nutrient-rich oils, avocado oil skincare helps to moisturise the skin, keeping it soft and supple.

Thanks to high levels of plant compounds phytosterols, avocado oil skincare also has a role to play in rejuvenating weary, dull, and stressed skin, and in helping to reduce inflammation.

At Antipodes, we have a unique difference: our focus on in-vitro scientific investigations, which are designed to help elevate our product textures, hydration levels, and – critically – the potential to optimise the skin’s appearance.

Our in-vitro scientific investigations look at the effect on human skin cells when exposed to end formulations. This method shows how cells stimulate or synthesise collagen over and above natural collagen levels. We test our anti-ageing creams and serums on human skin fibroblast cess – the most common cell that creates Type I collagen, dispersed in connective tissue throughout the body.
